Personal Statement
I am a Consultant Surgical Oncologist and GI-HPB Oncosurgeon with extensive experience in Nepal's healthcare system. I have worked as a consultant at Norvic International Hospital, Kathmandu Cancer Center, and Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital. Prior to that, I was a registrar and lecturer at Patan Hospital, and also worked as a medical officer at Norvic International Hospital and Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center. My educational background includes an MBBS degree from the University of Calcutta, an MS in General Surgery from the National Academy of Medical Sciences, and fellowships in Surgical Oncology and GI-HPB Surgery from the Tata Medical Center in India. I have also undergone various trainings, including courses in laparoscopic surgery, research methodology, and evaluating evidence. I am a Fellow of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (FMAS) and the Indian Association of Gastro Intestinal Endosurgeons (FIAGES), and have been recognized for my work with a Best Poster award in the HPB category at the IASGCON 2017 conference in Puducherry, India.
