I am a highly accomplished Professor and Head of the Department of Surgery at Tribhuwan University Teaching Hospital, Institute of Medicine Kathmandu. I have held leadership positions as Immediate past President of Surgical Society of Nepal, Vice President of Gastro Enterological Society of Nepal, and Executive Member of Liver Foundation of Nepal. Additionally, I serve as an Examiner and clinical tutor of Royal college of Surgeon of Edinburgh, UK and a Member of the Postgraduate Committee at the Institute of Medicine. I am also an Honorary Consultant at Birendra Police Hospital. I completed my MBBS from Punjab University, India in 1969 and obtained FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK in 1981, followed by Postgraduate training in Surgical Gastro Enterology at Hyogo University, Japan. My contributions to the field have been recognized with awards such as Sikchya Puraskar, TU in 1996 and Durgam Sthan Sewa Padak, Shubha Rajyabhisek Padak.
